Perth Airport (PER) sits about 12 km east of the CBD. The thing to know is that it has two separate terminal precincts — T1/T2 and T3/T4 — a 15-minute drive apart, so which one you need really matters. Here's everything, from the people who drive it every day.
Getting to & from the airport — the local way
Perth now has an airport train, but with two precincts and a big city, the right option depends on where you're going. The honest rundown:
Private transfer & shuttle
Door-to-door, no stairs with your bags, and a driver watching your flight so a delay doesn't cost you the ride. Best for the suburbs, Fremantle or the beaches, landing late, travelling as a group, or with luggage. Our fixed fares start from $59 and never surge.
Airport Line train
The Airport Line now serves the airport (Airport Central station, near T1/T2), reaching the city in around 20 minutes. Great value for solo travellers headed near a city station — check which precinct your flight uses.
Taxi & rideshare
Ranks and rideshare zones sit at both precincts. Fine for a quick CBD trip, but meters and surge pricing add up — and there's no flight tracking if you land late.
The two precincts are a real 15-minute drive apart — arriving at the wrong one is a genuine hassle. We collect you from the correct precinct and terminal, kerbside, with your flight tracked.
Know where you're headed? Lock in a fixed fare in under a minute — flight monitored, no surge.

Terminals & precincts
Perth's four terminals sit in two precincts on opposite sides of the airfield:
- T1 & T2 precinct — international flights and regional/FIFO services (and some domestic).
- T3 & T4 precinct — the main domestic terminals (Qantas, Virgin and others).
The two precincts are a 15-minute drive apart. A terminal transfer shuttle runs between them every 20 minutes during the day (every 30 overnight), or you can take a taxi or transfer.
If you're connecting between an international flight (T1) and a domestic one at T3/T4, allow plenty of time for the cross-airport hop plus immigration and baggage — 90 minutes or more is sensible.

Parking at Perth Airport
Each precinct has its own parking, for every trip length. As a rough guide:
- Short-term / premium — closest to the terminals, best for quick pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Long-term / value — cheaper daily rates with a shuttle to the terminal.
- Pre-book online — almost always cheaper booked ahead than driving up. Make sure you book at the right precinct.
For anything beyond a day or two — or with two-plus travellers — a return transfer usually beats parking plus fuel, and there's no risk of returning to the wrong precinct.
Airport lounges
A calm spot before boarding, whether you've got status, a pass, or want to pay in.
International lounges

Insider tips from our drivers
The stuff you only learn from doing the run every day.
T1/T2 and T3/T4 are on opposite sides of the airport, a 15-minute drive apart. Always check which your flight uses — it's the single biggest source of airport confusion in Perth.
An international-to-domestic connection means crossing between precincts. Give yourself 90 minutes or more once you've cleared immigration and baggage.
We do plenty of early and odd-hour runs for FIFO and shift workers — 24/7, with your flight tracked so an early sign-on isn't stressful.
A pre-arranged kerbside meet-and-greet at the correct precinct beats hunting for a rank. Your driver tracks the flight and is there when you clear the doors.
