Privacy Policy

Effective: 19 February 2022  ·  Last reviewed: January 2026  ·  Operated by: Waggie Pty Ltd trading as Airport Shuttle Services

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or book one of our airport, student, theme park, cruise or tour transfer services — how we use it, who we share it with, how we keep it secure, and the rights you have over it. It is written to align with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), including reforms made by the Privacy Legislation Amendment (Enforcement and Other Measures) Act 2022 and the Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2024.

01 Who we are

This website (airportshuttleservices.com.au) is owned and operated by Waggie Pty Ltd, trading as Airport Shuttle Services. We provide airport transfers, international student transfers, theme park transfers, cruise ship transfers, tours and charter services across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.

For the purposes of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), we are an "APP entity" and treat personal information in accordance with the 13 Australian Privacy Principles. Our registered office is at 1366 Kingsford Smith Drive, Pinkenba QLD 4008.

02 What personal information we collect

The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us. Typically, we collect:

Booking & service information

Account & correspondence

Website & device information

We do not generally collect sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act (for example health information, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation). If we ever need to — for example, an accessibility-related medical detail you choose to share to ensure a safe transfer — we will only do so with your express consent (APP 3.3) and only use it for the purpose you provided it.

03 How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you in most cases, including when you:

We may also receive your information from a third party who books on your behalf, such as a university intake coordinator, a homestay agency, a cruise line, a tour operator, or a corporate travel manager. Where this happens, we rely on that third party to have obtained your consent to share your information with us.

04 Why we collect it

We collect, use and hold personal information only where it is reasonably necessary for one or more of our business activities (APP 3). Specifically, we use your information to:

05 Cookies & tracking technologies

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies help us remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and improve our service. We use:

You can refuse or delete cookies by adjusting your browser settings, or disable advertising cookies through industry opt-out tools (such as Your Online Choices Australia at youronlinechoices.com.au). Disabling cookies may limit some site functionality but will not stop you from making a booking.

06 Who we share it with

We share personal information only where necessary to deliver our service or meet our legal obligations. Recipients may include:

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

07 Overseas disclosures (APP 8)

Some of our service providers — particularly cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics and CRM platforms — store data on servers located outside Australia, typically in the United States, the European Union, Singapore or other countries with mature data-protection regimes. By using our service, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred and stored overseas.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas recipients handle your information in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, including by selecting providers with strong contractual privacy obligations and recognised security certifications.

08 How we keep your information secure (APP 11)

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include:

We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed to deliver our service, comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax records under the Income Tax Assessment Act), or resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or de-identify it.

09 Data breach notifications

We comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme (Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988). If we experience an eligible data breach — meaning a breach involving personal information that is likely to result in serious harm to one or more individuals, and we are unable to prevent that harm — we will:

10 Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email us at bookings@airportshuttleservices.com.au with the subject line "Privacy request". We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge to make a request, though a reasonable cost-recovery fee may apply for unusually large or complex access requests.

11 Information about under-18s

We provide international student transfers and homestay transfers that may involve passengers under 18. Where this is the case:

If you are under 18, you should ask a parent or guardian for permission before submitting personal information through this website.

12 Direct marketing (APP 7)

We may, where permitted by law, send you marketing emails or SMS messages about our services, special offers and seasonal promotions. We will only do this where you have given us your consent or would reasonably expect such communications based on the way we collected your information.

Every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link (or "STOP" reply for SMS). You can also email us at bookings@airportshuttleservices.com.au to opt out at any time. We will action opt-out requests within a reasonable time.

13 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements or for other operational reasons. The current version is always available at this URL. Material changes will be highlighted with a notice on our home page or by email where appropriate.

We recommend reviewing this page periodically. Your continued use of our website or services after a policy update means you accept the updated terms.
